On the cusp
I was there precisely on the cusp of the seasons.
Halts for discoveries to be shared,
Maps checked, notes compared.
From of old, stories have carried the soul forward and deeper. How our experiences map onto our understanding of faith is a critical and often bewildering fit. Sometimes hearing another’s tale allows us,from a safe distance, to see something of our own journey and so be encouraged, stimulated or provoked. We do not travel alone, yet our own story is always unique.
Here we halt to share our discoveries, to sense and judge what they might mean to us. We each compare notes and asks questions about the terrain of faith.
So feel free to add your thoughts and musings alongside our own as the Coracle faith community tells some of its own stories. Click on the heading to see the complete blog entry.
I was there precisely on the cusp of the seasons.
Though the mills of God grind slowly, yet they grind exceeding small.
Yet everyone who has a part to play in this drama has to plumb the depths and scale the heights of emotion.
A Saviour was born for you. And you will know him.
Think in ways you've never thought before.
God slips into the human family barely noticed.
Jesus both accepts his heritage and is open to a new kind of kinship with those who do the will of his heavenly father.
May I, with Mary and Elizabeth, see the divine image in those that I meet.
God’s heartfelt mercy is to make it possible for light and peace to break into our darkness.
Fettered and free. What keeps us from fulfilling our potential?
