Autumn Weekend Retreat 2010 at Skelmorlie

Friday, 1 October 2010 | 6pm Friday to 4pm Sunday

Can adults and children retreat together?  Andrew and I with Pete and Jane Edwards gave this a try in May and had a great time.  We were encouraged enough to organise a second family retreat for the weekend 1st October at the Notre Dame Retreat Centre in Skelmorlie.  Photos of May’s family retreat.

Who is it for?

Families, adults - basically anyone who would like to explore children and adults retreating together.

What will it be like?

Time in the chapel exploring reflective practices together, creative time (painting, making etc), free time to explore, hang out by yourselves or with others.

When?

Weekend of Oct 1st: Friday evening to Sunday afternoon.

Where?

Notre Dame Retreat Centre, Skelmolie (Wemyss Bay).  There is a good train service to Wemyss Bay.  The centre is by the sea - there is a rocky beach (need to cross a busy road to get to it).  There is a front garden but it is open to the road so children do need supervised. How many places?

Space for 18 people - single and twin rooms.

At what cost?

It is £14 per person per night regardless of age and is self-catering.
