Silence Workshop
Saturday, 22 May 2010 | 9.30am - 1.30pm
The fact that the world's wisdom traditions all set store by silence and the importance of engaging with silence in our spiritual journey should give us pause for thought. The Judaeo-Christian tradition too has, since the time of Christ (and indeed following his example), seen silence as a way of grace in transformation. But for many, silence is intimidating or seems difficult to engage with. What am I to DO when I'm silent? How am I to BE in the silence? Some try silence and give up thinking they're no good at it. Andrew Hook and Gus MacLeod and the Core Team hope to offer a safe space to introduce silence to those who might like some context for and some pointers on how to engage with silence as well as some practice of group silence with time for reflection. This is intended to be part of an ongoing series. Cost is free with donations going to the Coracle Trust. If you are interested then please get in touch.
